Low Carb diet limits carbohydrates - such as those found in Grains, starchy vegetables and fruits- and emphasizes foods high in protein and fat. Carbohydrates are a type of calorie found in many foods and beverages. A daily limit of 60 to 130 grams of carhydrates is typical with a low-carb diet.

Fiber

Fiber can lower blood sugar, cut cholesterol and more. Women should get 25 grams per day. Men should get 35 to 40 grams per day. But an average person gets just 15 geams per day.

Good and Bad Fats

There is both good and bad fats. Some people think that fats isn't included in losing weight. But it is. Good fats can help you lose weight and help you have a healthy diet. Good fats can improve blood cholesterol levels and lower your risk of heart disease. Bad fats are Trans fat. Trans fats can be found in meat and dairy products. Trans fat raise your cholesterol and increases your risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

Bad fats

Bad fats are found in baked good, packaged snacks foods, fried foods, pre-mixed products (cake mix, pancakes, chocolate milk).
